MobSol: Real-time tracking for public transportation in Sobral
The Prefeitura Municipal de Sobral has released a new Android application called MobSol, designed to provide real-time tracking for users of the Transporte Urbano de Sobral (Transsol) system. With MobSol, passengers can track the movement of their bus to the nearest stop in real-time, bringing greater comfort and convenience to their journey.
The interface of the application allows users to view graphical representations of buses, simply by selecting the desired line and route direction (neighborhood/center or center/neighborhood). The map provides real-time updates of bus locations every 10 seconds, allowing users to leave home just a few minutes before the bus arrives, minimizing their waiting time at the stop.
In addition to tracking buses, users can also access other information such as the closest ticket sales points to their location.
